ENAMELED STONEWARE FIGURE OF FISHERMAN IN BOAT. Chinese, late Qing Dynasty. Probably Yi Hsing ware. Allegorical rendering of a bearded sage releasing a fanciful fish from the side of his boat. Proper right bow of boat with area of calligraphy above which are two seal marks. SIZE: 10″ h x 21″ l. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the grand-niece of the last Emperor Puyi of the Qing Dynasty and granddaughter of crown Prince Pujun. CONDITION: Overall very good. One element missing on proper left side of boat canopy. 9-23990 (5,000-7,000)
