LARGE PLASTER AND WOOD TRIPTYCH ICON. The central shadowbox type scene shows two women, one with two children, one holding golden ball and the other in prayer, the other is holding a child which holds a bird. Hinged side panels, one showing a crowned figure with sword, the other a crowned woman with book. The figures are painted plaster and they have a reddish/brown background with gold halos. The wood shadowbox is dovetailed and painted. 19th Century. SIZE: 39-1/2″ h x 27″ (closed); 54″ (open). PROVENANCE: From a large Boston, MA area Estate. CONDITION: The plaster figures have some damage but generally intact. 9-99285 (1,000-1,500)
