The breeching whale is being struck with a harpoon by one longboat, another longboat being capsized by the whale’s tail. Two whaling ships in the background. Painting is unsigned and framed in a veneered ogee-style mahogany frame. SIZE: (sight) 23-1/2” h x 13-1/2” l. CONDITION: There is a small repair and puncture in the sky a few inches above the whale.
