HENRY SCOTT (British, 1911-1966) “THE AMERICAN DOWN EASTER “GRANITE STATE” OFF THE LIZARD”. Fine large oil on canvas nautical scene shows the three-mast tall ship in full sail with two pilot boats and other sails on horizon. White tipped choppy sea under white cloud and blue sky. Signed lower left. Housed in a fine gilt decorative frame having a gilt wood artist plaque and presentation plaque as follows: “Presented to Robert J. Haugh on the occasion of his retirement from Minet (1990)”. Titled on reverse of stretcher and having a label from MacConnal-Mason & Son, LTD. SIZE: 30″ x 40″.
