MAMMY AND CHILD MECHANICAL BANK. Bank manufactured by Kyser & Rex. A fairly scarce bank of a mammy feeding her young. When coin is put on spoon and lever is pressed, mammy’s hand lifts depositing coin in baby’s mouth. Also when coin is deposited mammy nods her head slightly and baby moves her feet. The bank has great eye appeal. Besides the bank collector, it would also appeal to the folk art/primitive collector. SIZE: 7-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Bank is in very good condition with moderate wear throughout. Still has original trap tip of spoon appears replaced which is very common with this bank. 1-10021 (2,500-4,000)
