UNSIGNED (19th Century). Oil on canvas nautical scene shows two ships, one with American flag and one with British flag, sailing left to right in dark white capped ocean. Land is on left side, all under a sunset sky from light blue to pink. The foreground ship having a blue company pennant “T.L.Co”. The ship named “M.F. Chapman”. The American ship is unidentified. Housed in a fine gilt molded wood frame with a Guido Frame Studio label. SIZE: 22″ x 36″. CONDITION: Relined, very good. Restored with inpainting. 9-96805 (6,000-9,000)
