CLOWN ON GLOBE MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by J& E Stevens. Bank has great action. Clown sits on ball, when the ball is wound the clown will spin around in a very comical way. This is one of a very few banks that has a wind up mechanism. Must have been a favorite with the kids. SIZE: 9″ h. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Bank is in good to very good condition. Because of the force of the clockwork mechanism as the clown spins one of the hands connected to the ball has been repaired, which is commonplace for this bank. 1-9969 (600-800)
