LOT OF THREE REMINGTON SMOOT REVOLVERS WITH DISPLAY CASE. 1) #1 Smoot. Cal. 30 RF. SN 2416. Nickel finish, 2-3/4” oct bbl, 2-pc walnut birds head grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains virtually all or its orig factory nickel with light surface scratches. Wood grips have been refinished. Good mechanics. Strong bore with moderate pitting. 2) #2 Smoot. Cal. 30 RF. SN 822. Nickel finish, 2-3/4” oct bbl, 2-pc black hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine, possibly unfired. Retains virtually all of its strong, bright, orig factory finish with strong case colors on hammer. Grips have an internal crack on left side, otherwise are extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. Bright shiny bore. 3) #2 Smoot. Cal. 32. SN 236. Nickel finish, 2-3/4” oct bbl, 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Very fine, retains about all of its orig nickel finish with some light pitting on left side with light nickel touch-up in that spot. Hammer retains brilliant case colors. Grips are fine. Mechanics are fine. Strong, bright bore with moderate pitting. Accompanied by a 15” x 16” green felt lined display case containing mountings for the three revolvers, a copy of a page from 1877 Remington catalogue, mounted samples of 30 RF & 32 RF caliber cartridges & one empty box of 32 RF short UMC cartridges & one open full box of UMC 30 RF shorts cartridges & an orig Smoot green cardboard box marked “FULL PLATE / 32 CAL.” CONDITION: Frame is very fine. Cartridge boxes show cleaning with worn edges. Revolver box has a replaced end in lid with other repaired edges & corners & shows heavy wear. 4-59354 JH26 (1,500-2,500)
