ROCOCO CARVED MAHOGANY DESK. Last quarter 19th century, New York. Attributed to R.J. Horner & Co. The rectangular molded top above the conforming case profusely carved with leafy scrolls and vinery, each side fitted with a combination of drawers and sham drawers. The case raised on molded cabriole legs surmounted by gargoyles above acanthus carving, terminating in boldly carved claw feet. Each end panel carved with scrolling leaf tips, centering a classical urn. SIZE: 31-1/2″ h x 54″ l x 30″ d. CONDITION: Professionally repolished and refinished.
