HERIZ CARPET, NORTH PERSIA. First quarter 20th century. Central arabesque blue/black and pink poled medallion on a salmon ground within pink spandrels, all with dense geometric polychrome vinery. Blue/black main border with large flower heads within meandering vinery. SIZE: 7′ 9″ x 10′ 7″. CONDITION: Retains good pile throughout with soft palette. With small areas in one corner with low pile. Losses to end fringe and also to guard border at end. One corner with old insect damage. Good overall. 9-22826 (2,000-3,000)
