SCARCE AMERICAN TIN “MONUMENT” BANK. Manufactured by Bergmann, this steeple bank is extremely unusual that is hand painted in white with stenciled windows and doors. At the center is a large gold stained steeple. Not many examples of this bank exist. In fact, this may be the only known example. SIZE: 10-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Overall near excellent with bent finial to top of steeple and wear to the body of the steeple. 1-10024 (1,000-1,500)
