BUDDY “L” BUS. A classic pressed steel toy from the 1920-1930s era. Buddy L had a tendency to copy in miniature form the real life vehicles of the time period. Perhaps every male child during this period would have liked to have had this toy and today this is a must have for collectors of pressed steel toys. An extremely well executed and extremely durable bus with opening front doors and an array of what appears to be comfortable seating within. Dual real wheels, spare tires on right and left cowl, a fancy nickel plated front bumper with matching headlights further add to the allure of this piece. SIZE: 28″ l. PROVENANCE: The Diane and late Steve Olin collection. CONDITION: Overall this bus is in as found, all original condition and a good candidate for restoration. An extremely solid bus with some typical corrosion to aluminum & steel pieces. A slight dusting of surface rust to the bus but no heavy or distracting pitting. 1-13271-45 (800-1,200)
