SEMI-ANTIQUE KABISTAN, NORTHWEST CAUCASUS. Circa 1900. Three aligned octagonal medallions with latch-hook borders on a terracotta field interspersed with human, bird and horse-like figures. The main deep indigo border woven with polychrome crabs with candy cane edge, further bordered by stylized “S” forms. SIZE: 7′ 6″ x 4′ 9″. CONDITION: Overall good with pleasing colors. Minor damages to ends and selvage with moderate wear commensurate with age and old small professional repairs. 9-97507 (2,000-3,000)
