PHILADELPHIA BABY. Made by Shepherd of Philadelphia in the early years of the 20th century with the stockinet covered head, lower arms and head with molded and painted features. He wears a period waist length linen jacket with blue sailor type collar and sleeve trim that matches collar, a knit Union suit and replaced seersucker knee length pants. This doll has a different face than usually found on this model with deeper eye sets and larger lips and deeper indentation at the mouth. Accompanied by a ribbed cotton boys shirt, vest and newer green velvet short pants. SIZE: 21″ (53cm).
