NEOCLASSICAL LOUIS XV STYLE MANTEL CLOCK. 19th century. The rectangular architectural form case with stepped molded cornice above reeded Corinthian brass columns centering three porcelain panels at front and sides. Depicting a young boy and girl exchanging flowers in a garden landscape amongst ruins. Centering an enameled paint-decorated dial within a chased brass bezel with a beveled glass conforming panel, the enamel dial inscribed “E.P. ROBERTS & SONS/Pittsburg“. The eight-day brass movement marked “A.1″ within a circle. The drum of the movement with the serial #876748. The movement striking on a gong with brass pendulum. The case on a concave molded plinth.
