FIVE GERMAN PAPIER MACHE HORSES WITH RIDERS BALANCE TOYS. Most likely from the 1920-1930s era these various riders astride horses balance delicately on a shelf by means of a counter weight and their rear feet. Riders include George Washington, Santa on a dappled felt covered horse, a comical male youth, a Punch figure and the 5th lacking a rider, but being a poodle with glass eyes and body covered in appropriate pilled cotton fabric. SIZE: Varies 3-1/2″ to 4-1/4″ (length of animals). CONDITION: Overall condition good to very good.
