LOT OF 19 ANTIQUE METAL WHISTLES. Materials are plated metal, sterling, marked gold, brass, die-cast metal and plated brass. A very nice grouping of vintage whistles of varied design, many of which are shown in the book Whistles by Martyn Gilchrist (included). Some sterling pieces are hallmarked. Others are charm whistles, dog whistles and several period combination perfume scent containers with whistle. Some forms depict horses, dragons, horns, dogs and trains. Most would hang from necklace.
