O-GAUGE LIONEL “BABY BLUE COMET” SET.

O-GAUGE LIONEL “BABY BLUE COMET” SET. According to the consignor, this set comes from the original owner who had this toy as a child, and was only allowed to play with it on special occasions, only being set up at Christmas and immediately put back afterwards. The trains were later found in storage by the consignor’s parents and given back to him on his 40th birthday in 1972. The three passenger cars appear to be in very fine original finish with nickel plated trims. However the 263 loco and tender appear to have old paint restoration. According to the consignor, the frame on the engine had deterioration and in 1972 the engine was given to someone for repair. Included are some of the original boxes, but they are in poor condition and missing several end flaps. CONDITION: As described above. 1-12538 (1,000-1,500)
