NEWELL CONVERS WYETH (American, 1882-1945) BACK YARD VIEW. Oil on canvas scene shows a back yard with grass and a pole and line clothesline holding several articles of clothing. Beyond the lawn is a number of closely built buildings with a steeple in the center. Artist has signed the work in the bottom right with a “W” within a circle. Housed in a fine reproduction gesso decorated frame with a Guido Studio, Boston label. Pencil written on back of stretcher “MCU”, also a number tag “207”. SIZE: 15″ x 18-1/4″. CONDITION: Small speck inpainting in sky, otherwise very good. 9-92755 (20,000-40,000)
