LOT OF 24 VINTAGE WHISTLES. Materials are plastic, porcelain, ivory, bone, and horn, many of which are shown in the book Whistles by Martyn Gilchrist. A very nice grouping of vintage whistles of varied design. Eight whistles are glazed Staffordshire figures, including Frozen Charlottes. Also, three Victorian hand-carved ivory whistles. Other porcelain manufacturers include Worcester, Wade and Royal Copenhagen plus six plastic swizzle sticks with whistles. Also included is a modern rendition of a Faberge pendant whistle (gold-plated) in original Met. Museum of Art box. An interesting and diverse lot. SIZE: Varies.
