IMPORTANT GROUP OF 19 SNUFF BOTTLES. Chinese & Japanese, 19th and 20th century. Including several agate and hardstone examples, one with relief carving of farmers in landscape; four glass examples, two with foil, one in lemon yellow glass, one with crimson overlay; bottle form sang de boeuf; pottery example decorated overall with dragons; three decorated porcelain bottles including one Famille Verte; silver metal example with coral and turquoise cabochons; heart shaped silver metal example carved in relief with animals; Chinese cloisonne bottle decorated with deer in landscape opposing two cranes in landscape. SIZE: Smallest: 2″ h. Largest: 3-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the late Dr. Walter B. Jones Collection, most of which he amassed while serving overseas in the Pacific Theater as a combat engineer, Lt.
