Correction: This is a 1 gauge, not a 0 gauge.

BIAGGI O-GAUGE “COCK O’ THE NORTH” ENGINE & TENDER. Of Italian manufacture, this particular electric engine is relatively rare and the primary market focus was for the English train enthusiast. An electric engine with a 2-8-2 wheel configuration, this train ran on 3-rail track. Perhaps one of the most interesting features of this train is the fascinating Caprotti valve gears along the front end of the loco behind the steam chest. “Cock o’ the North” was one of the many engines operated on the London Northern England Railroad (LNER). The train itself, circa 1950s appears to have had minimal usage as very little wear is evident on wheels or electric engine receptors. Original Biaggi decals are intact on engine cab, steam chest, and tender. SIZE: 29-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall very fine to near mint, a light cleaning/polishing would bring out the vibrancy of the green and black paint, making this a most stunning piece. 1-12490 (3,000-5,000)
