CARVED IVORY CANISTER. Late 19th century, Continental. Carved depicting a castle tower depicted with windows and an arched doorway through which horsemen and footmen are entering. The top rim simulating ruins. On a conforming circular plinth raised on square feet, all joined with cross braces. SIZE: 5-3/4″ h x 3-1/2″ dia. CONDITION: Generally good with normal and expected shrinkage cracks, mellow patina and good color. 9-29813 (300-500)
