12″ GERMAN PAPIER MACHE SANTA CANDY CONTAINER WITH RED COAT. A very fine all original Santa, circa 1920s. The typical red felt coat with mica highlighting and white cotton trims. The Santa with blue pants and black papier mache boots comes apart at the waist, revealing a cylindrical candy container. The papier mache face is highly detailed and retains most of his rabbit trimmed beard and hair. A fine example with much appeal and he has a great presence about him. SIZE: 12″ h. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus. Very light soiling to outfit. Minimal wear to papier mache hands. Face is near mint. 1-13641 (750-1,250)
