RARE TWO-FACED GERMAN CHINA SHOULDER HEAD DOLL. Seldom found china head known as “Youth & Old Age” where the black hair of the younger face becomes the bonnet rim of the old lady’s face on the reverse side. In particular the detail shown in creating the older lady is superb. The blond hair, deep furrows in the forehead and cheeks with nice rosy coloring. She is on a cloth body with relatively crude porcelain lower arms with a simple long dress and red vest. SIZE: 12″ (30cm). CONDITION: Very good. 1-11603 (1,000-1,500)
