TWO 1930S LITHOGRAPHED GOLF GAMES. 1) A near mint in original box Strauss “Play Golf” wind up golf game. A tiny wooden ball is putted towards nine holes, which are set up in bowling ball style. Through a ramp type mechanism the ball is returned to the golfer after putting. Finely lithographed showing the clubhouse, various greens and other golfers this colorfully dressed golfer will continue putting for hours. The graphics on the original box on the reverse side give directions, but more entertaining on the front “Just like Daddy” for the young son to follow in his dad’s footsteps. 2) “‘Jocko’ the Golfer” actively putts the ball, a tube loaded with balls supplies Jocko who actively shoots the balls onto the floor for mom and dad to slip on. The lithograph, which is somewhat muted also depicts a young lady putting. A string is pulled which “winds up” the mechanism. SIZE: 12″ x 7″ w and 6-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ w respectively. CONDITION: 1) Near mint original condition with minimal wear, not only to toy but to original box as well. 2) Good condition with heavier wear to litho on putter’s right side, corrosion blemish by ball supply chute. 1-9525 (650-850)
