FALLOWS LADDER WAGON. Although diminutive in size, this toy has a large presence. Perhaps the four lights hanging off the coiled wires or the coloring or the oversized ladders make this a possibility. American tin toys let the unreasonable or inane or mis-proportioned items to be combined and make a toy and yet everything looks aesthetically correct. This particular toy has an abundance of charm and the toy appears to be in all original, untouched condition. The various colors employed: white, red, blue mesh well together and perhaps if you had a loose American tin fireman standing next to it it would finish the picture. When the toy is pulled about the floor by the child, the rear ex-centric axle strikes an iron ball which in turn strikes the bell. SIZE: Approx. 7-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall good to very good, all original condition. 1-12402 (3,000-4,000) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2012 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
