OVERSIZED PAPIER MACHE HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN. Wow! Great piece. It is so unusual to find Pre-War Halloween decorations of this scale. This is real papier mache. Colors are fantastic with deep orange, reds, and vivid greens – all hand painted. Facial area has protruding nose, high relief cheeks with mouth sunken back. Past owner has had exact faithful replacement eye and mouth papier inserts made. Original remains are included. Pumpkin varies in diameter as it is oblong and fat in design. Pumpkin was made for wire bale handle (not included) or as just candle lit decoration. Pencil markings on underside reveal $1.00 price. SIZE: 12″ diameter at widest point. CONDITION: Long ago repairs to underside do not affect this great piece. Overall very good plus. 1-13371 (900-1,500)
