EARLY 18TH CENTURY PORTRAIT OF A BARRISTER. Oil on canvas of a gentleman with brown wig sporting white lacy collar and cuff holding a scroll in his left hand. Unsigned. Housed in a old, possibly original black molded wood frame. A very old written history, pen on paper of the picture is affixed to the back. It is difficult to read and portions of the note is missing. SIZE: 24″ w x 29″ h. CONDITION: Dark and soiled. 9-21898 (1,000-2,000)
