LARGE BERLIN KPM PORCELAIN PORTRAIT PLAQUE. Late 19th Century. Finely painted full length portrait of a young woman descending a staircase in a classical setting dressed in a pink formal gown with ivory lace overall. Signed “Merkel-HeineWiesbaden” on the bottom of the stairwell beneath the wrought iron railing. Back of the plaque impressed “KPM” mark beneath a scepter and above “H”. Also affixed with the paper label of Merkel-Heine. Now mounted in a modern gold gilt frame. SIZE: Sight: 20-3/4″ x 15-1/2″. Overall 25-1/2″ x 20-1/4″.
