Lot Added: CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERY. Last quarter of the 19th Century, Qing Dynasty. The fine three-dimensional example woven with polychrome metallic thread on an indigo silk ground depicting two five-toed dragons playing with a pearl. Each dragon with hardstone eyes. A bat in flight is woven above the blue eyed dragon. Each corner is woven an ornate fanciful moth, all within a double silk embroidered border. SIZE: 24″ x 39-1/2″ CONDITION: Woven figures mostly intact, silk foundation and borders heavily degraded. Backing still structurally intact. 9-25061 (500-1,000)
