LEHMANN “BUSY COOLIES” WITH OB. An outstanding all-original example in exceptional condition Busy Coolies friction toy. Also known as Kadi, this particular toy is another fresh to the market piece. The toy’s colors are vibrant including the gold, which often oxidizes. The original marked key/wrench and Lehmann pull tab with string are present, but perhaps best of all is a letter of the time period presenting this toy as a gift. The box lid in German, English, French, and Spanish depicts the toy as well as the two methods of activating the mechanism. More unusual are various cities in the Orient such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Peking, etc. that are printed on the tea chest. An exceptional toy in exceptional condition! SIZE: 7″ l. CONDITION: Overall near mint original condition with original excelsior packing, excepting lower right corner of box that mouse has chewed. 1-9622 (2,000-3,000)
