EARLY 20TH CENTURY GERMAN AERONAUTICAL TOY. A creation of hand painted tin, cloth and lead framework, this fine early German airplane has a wind-up motor within, the premise of this toy would be to have a long string and placing this toy on the string and letting it go. The props would then carry the toy to the next location. Perhaps from Frankfurt to Paris. Rudder has adjustments to change positions, which is most uncommon and rarely is this feature ever seen. SIZE: Overall approx. 8″ l. CONDITION: Toy appears to be in untouched, all original condition excepting a small solder repair to engine support. Toy is fully functional. 1-9645 (1,500-2,500)
