FINE CARVED ALABASTER FEMALE BUST. “Belle Epoque” period, probably Massachusetts. Modeled with long wavy hair fashioned in a ribbon-tied chignon, attired in a short sleeved, high collared dress, a Victorian choker with brooch fastener, all with crimped ribbon adornments. SIZE: 21-1/2″ h x 16-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Found in a Beacon Hill Brownstone. CONDITION: Very fine, good surfaces, no pitting, stains or weathering. Some minor chips to ribbon at front of bodice. 9-99896 (800-1,200)
