CARVING OF AN EAGLE ON ROCKWORK. Late 19th/early 20th century, American. Depicting a nicely feathered eagle perched on a rocky outcrop. The pine carving with exaggerated beak and with brass button eyes. With old varnished surfaces. SIZE: 25-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Surfaces original with nice color and patina. No restoration or damages noted beyond small areas of slight abrasion. The laminated rockwork plinth with normal and expected vertical shrinkage cracks, filled and stabilized.
