ALTHOF BERGMAN VELOCIPEDE. A fine early clockwork toy produced from the 1870s for twenty plus years, this toy features a female rider pedaling furiously away. A pressed linen head and attired in blue and white striped pants and a fanciful silk jacket (most likely an early replacement). Patent dates stenciled on painted tin clockwork cover. SIZE: Approx. 10-1/2″. CONDITION: Overall very good plus. Toy would benefit greatly by a light cleaning. 1-9463 (800-1,200)
