LARGE CELLULOID W/UP POPEYE WITH O/B, JAPAN. Copt. “King Features Synd. 1929”. An impressive hand-painted figural Popeye with jointed arms moves around with vibrating action and extending neck. Soft colors throughout with obligatory anchors painted on Popeye’s forearms. Scarce original box shows character images on all six sides (end opening). SIZE: 8-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Factory overpaint on neck area original to toy. Working toy has no breaks or dents. Excellent. Box is very good and complete. 1-12772-1 (250-400)
