BUDDY L AERIAL LADDER TRUCK. When a child received this toy at Christmas, he truly must have been overjoyed. Not only was it a large and impressive piece of pressed steel to roll down the driveway, but he could use the extension ladders to rescue his sister’s doll from the top of the dresser. Quite a lot of toy, especially for that time period. Perhaps this is the reason so many have survived over the years. Surely these were passed from generation to generation to play with. The hydraulic pump action allows the ladder to shoot directly skyward and employing the crank on the side, the ladders would extend upward. A geared handle above the hydraulic pump would let you rotate the ladders in a circular motion. SIZE: 40″ l. CONDITION: Overall truck appears to be in original finish, which is fair to good. Ladders show a fair amount of loss to nickel finish. 1-12530 (300-500)
