NICE QUALITY GAULTIER FRENCH FASHION. Bisque socket head on separate bisque shoulder plate; both incised “6”. This lady doll has rarer brown paperweight eyes, closed mouth with nicely shaded lips, well painted lashes and brows and pierced ears. Body is gusseted white leather with separately stitched fingers in relatively clean condition considering the age and type of the doll. She has been elaborately re-costumed in period style in a two-piece walking costume of chocolate brown silk and lace trim topped with a brown velvet hat with beige pleated silk trim and feathers. Wig is antique dark brown human hair over cork pate and shoes are antique brown leather with flat soles. SIZE: 19″ (48cm). CONDITION: Overall very good with minor flaking at earring holes. 1-11805 (2,000-3,000)
