GERMAN MOTHER GOOSE DOLL. Papier mache/composition figure of Mother Goose. Hands, feet, and face are composition. Stuffed muslin covered body. Fabric dress, apron, and scarf with tied red cloth hooded cape. Hand painted facial features include rosy cheeks, detailed eyes, and original cast metal “granny glasses”. Mohair wig with doily-like embroidered material around head topped off with a cone witch-like hat. Storybook character doll is well done with a benevolent overall look. SIZE: 16″ t. CONDITION: Bump to end of nose. Compo head shows line running from forehead to eyebrow. Red cape has some moth eaten areas and fading. Overall doll is good to very good.
