LOT OF TWO REMINGTON REVOLVERS, (SINGLE ACTION & DOUBLE ACTION) WITH DISPLAY CASE. 1) Double Action. Cal. 38 RF. SN 5496, conversion #29. Nickel finish, 6-1/2” oct bbl with crisp markings, 2-pc walnut grips, standard sights. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Retains most of its orig finish with some minor nickel touch-up & some fine pitting on right side of frame. Grips retain about all of a fine refinish. Mechanics are fine. Bright, shiny bore with a spot or two of pitting. 2) Single Action. Cal. 38 RF. SN 2235, conversion #20. Nickel finish, 6-1/2” oct bbl with crisp markings, 2-pc walnut grips, standard sights. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & cyl retain most of their orig nickel finish with a spot of pitting on the top flat of bbl. Frame has very fine pitting with some old nickel touch-up. Grips have a restored finish. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore with a few scattered spots of light pitting. Accompanied by a 17-3/4” x 18-1/2” display case made by consignor. It contains a copy of Remington 1877 catalogue showing mistake in advertising calling for single action revolver, picturing a double action revolver. It also has four examples of the 38 RF cartridge and two boxes of ammunition, one full 38 RF UMC & one very partial 38 Short Winchester. CONDITION: Display case is very fine with bright colors.
