PAUL JACOULET (French, 1902-1960) TWO WOODBLOCK PRINTS. Both housed in bamboo style frames. 1) “Mikioto Lighthouse. Shimoda Izu”, published February 1954. Peony seal, having a Maeda/Onodera carver and printer stamp. Pencil signed, number 134 illustrated in the “Prints of Paul Jacoulet”, page 78. 2) “The Nautilus Shell. Yap”, published April 1958. Peony seal, having a Maeda/Honda carver and printer stamp. Pencil signed, number 153 illustrated in the “Prints of Paul Jacoulet”, page 83. SIZE: Sight size within matte. 1) 16-1/2″ x 12-3/4″. 2) 16-1/2″ x 12-3/4″. PROVENANCE: From a large Boston, MA area Estate. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame. Colors are strong, light toning 9-99312 (800-1,200)
