CARVED ALABASTER EAGLE ON ONYX STAND. First half 20th century. The eagle depicted perched on a rock work plinth, head turned to the left and with glass eyes. Accompanied by a white onyx columnar pedestal with swiveling platform. The whole joined to a stepped base. SIZE: Statue: 18″ h. Pedestal: 38-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Eagle has had restoration to reattach two sections of rock work plinth. Surfaces appear original with old patina. Pedestal generally very good. 9-29835 (400-800)
