REMINGTON IMPROVED NEW MODEL NAVY CARTRIDGE REVOLVER WITH DISPLAY CASE. Cal. 38 RF Long. SN 45016. Nickel finish with 7-3/8” oct bbl, pinched front sight, crisp bbl markings, 2-pc walnut grips. This revolver was made as a cartridge revolver and is not a conversion. Meant to be sold to the commercial market. Accompanied by a 19-1/2” x 10-1/2” red felt lined display case made by consignor. It contains one mounted 38 RF Long cartridge, a copy of a page showing the revolver from Remington 1877 catalogue, a full box of 38 RF Long UMC cartridges. CONDITION: Fine. Retains strong, orig nickel with some fine pitting and touch-up nickel on frame. Grips are sound with a restored finish. Mechanics are fine. Bright, shiny bore with a few spots of pitting.
