CHIPPENDALE PARCEL GILT CARVED LOOKING GLASS. Late 18th Century. Rectangular plate within a pierced and scrolling surround of foliate vinery and flowerheads, with pierced cartouches and surmounted by a spread wing phoenix. SIZE: 61-1/2″ x 27″. CONDITION: Mirror appears to retain original plate and old if not original surfaces. Phoenix has been reattached but in need of restoration. Frame with losses to gesso, gilding, and some structural cracks. 9-96737 (1,000-1,500)
