ALL ORIGINAL GERMAN WAX DOLL. Wax shoulder head with blue glass sleep eyes, closed mouth, painted upper and lower lashes and one stroke eyebrows, wearing original blonde mohair wig with long braid draping down the back, on a firmly stuffed cloth body with bisque forearms, and body having sewn joints at the hips and knees. She wears an elaborate European regional costume, probably Swiss, with black lace hat and criss-crossed chains on the bodice, the original flat shoes are black oil cloth with brass buckles. SIZE: 21″ (53cm). CONDITION: Appears very good. However, top of costume is sewn around the shoulder plate, making it impossible to fully inspect the shoulder. After cursory examination one cannot feel any breaks when touching it. 1-12856 (400-600)
