ORNATE INLAID MAHOGANY CENTER TABLE. Late 19th, early 20th century. Middle East Region. The octagonal top with molded edge centering a hexagonal medallion densely inlaid with bone and abalone geometric designs within a conforming inlaid border of arabesques and rectangles in ebony, bone, and abalone above the conforming apron additionally mounted with spool-and ball-turned lattice work raised on four cylindrical legs with parquetry panels joined to the shelf of a sixteen-sided star form, the legs alternating with large turned finials also with parquetry inlay. The whole with a spool-and ball-turned trellis work gallery above a band of geometric parquetry terminating in disc turned feet. SIZE: 29″ h. Top: 33″ x 33″. CONDITION: Very good overall with original surfaces, minor and minimal losses to parquetry inlays. 9-29737 (400-600)
