ELABORATE HURET DOME TOP TRUNK. Hard to find item from the Huret company who made the top of the line French fashion dolls. This wooden trunk is edged in leather, metal bands, and brass rivets. When opened one sees a large lower space with two separate compartments and a removable shelf with lattice work bottom. In the top of the dome there are two separate drop down panels. The smaller panel exposes three pull out drawers for pins, gloves, and other assorted items. When you unhook the top part, a large single drawer drops down from the inner part of the lid. The interior retains its original lithograph paper design. SIZE: 10″ (25 cm) t x 18″ (46 cm) w x 11-1/2″ (30 cm) d. CONDITION: Good with some damage to hinges on back. Also some typical light paint wear and rust. 1-13293 (200-300)
