EARLY 20TH CENTURY “HORSELESS CARRIAGE” DOLL CARRIAGE. A unique doll carriage by Columbia Carriage and Rattan Company of Fitchburg, MA, an ideal carriage for the young lady pushing her doll about the neighborhood. Reminiscent of a very early automotive horseless carriage, side doors gain entrance to the passenger compartment, which also has a fold down leather canopy for inclement weather. Celluloid tag at rear of carriage indicates maker mentioned above with a metal handle for the young lady to push the carriage. Metal spoke wheels with thin rubber tires with spring suspension. Carriage retains its original black enamel finish with fine gold pinstriping. SIZE: 26″ h x 34″ l. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. 1-12017 (400-800)
