WHITNEY/BEALS RING TRIGGER (WALKING BEAM) POCKET REVOLVER WITH DISPLAY CASE. Cal. 31. SN 9. Designed by Fordyce Beals before he left Whitney to join Remington where he designed their line of pocket & large frame revolvers, approx. 2,300 made. Blued finish, 3-7/8” oct bbl with crisp markings, standard sights, 2-pc walnut grips. Accompanied by a 9-3/4” x 9-1/4” lined display case made by consignor. It contains a hanger for the revolver with some written information. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Overall retains a smooth dark brown patina with some nicks on bbl and pitting on front of frame. Right grip has a gouge with light scratches elsewhere, and overall retains most of an old restored finish. Cyl retains 15-20% rolled scene with some light hammer marks & scattered fine pitting. Mechanics are fine. Strong bore with moderate pitting. 4-59307 JH35 (2,000-3,000)
